Below are some of the finest trainers in the Midlands! Our trainers bring spirit and enthusiasm to every workout and are here to push you to be your absolute best. So, meet the ones who are going to be helping you through your fitness journey by reading about their lives and how Bodyshop Athletics has affected them!

Chris Wooten

Chris Wooten is the former owner of Bodyshop Athletics. In 2000, Chris decided to pursue his passion in health and fitness. After training all walks of life; from the Marines, to little league athletes, and virtually everything in between, Chris decided it was time to use the gifts that God had provided him with to help other people, and started a full time career in personal training. Through Bodyshop Athletics, he has had the ability to help change the lives of thousands of people. Chris's favorite quote is from President Ronald Reagan: "Some people go through their entire lives wondering if they ever helped anyone; the U.S. Marines do not have that problem". He says, “Here at Bodyshop Athletics, we don't have that problem either!”

Corey Warner

The Owner

Corey Warner is the owner of Bodyshop Athletics. Corey started training with the Bodyshop when he was 13 years old and has been around it ever since. He began personal training in 2008 and began full time at the Bodyshop in 2013. Corey is a graduate from Toccoa Falls College, where he played baseball. Corey lead his team to 3 consecutive National Championships and was awarded Most Outstanding Player at the 2013 World Series. Corey married Sally Hendrix in October of 2013 and they have two children, Noah (4) and Ava (2). He is passionate about his work and loves helping people change their lives. Bodyshop is a way for him to impact others not just physically but mentally and spiritually as well. He says, “Bodyshop is not a place to just work and workout, it’s a family, a place to belong, and where I can live out God’s purpose for my life.

Jimmy Hodges

Jimmy has been on staff since August of 2018. Jimmy has been married to Melissa for 13 years and they have three boys Parker, Dalton, and Carson. Jimmy says he is a, “trainer by day, full-time bro by night. I may or may not be affiliated with covert operations. Challenge me to a pull-up contest.” Jimmy specializes in strength training and occasionally enjoys throwing in cross-fit style workouts with his clients.

Katie Wilkes

Katie has been with the Bodyshop since December of 2011. Her Bodyshop story starts as a client in the summer of 2009, and it wasn’t long before she felt like this place could be the beginning of a new adventure for her. Starting as a client at the Bodyshop gives her a different perspective and a reason she truly values the client experience. She says ‘I’ve struggled with my weight and my food choices for as long as I can remember and I know it’ll be something I deal with forever. Being able to relate to so many of my clients and sharing my story has made this adventure so rewarding.” In her spare time, Katie loves cheering on the Gamecocks, running, spending time with her family, visiting Charleston and sometimes you’ll find her reading a good book.

Leslie McCutchan

Leslie was born and raised in North East Tennessee where she developed a passion for all things exercise and a heart for helping others. Leslie went to college and played soccer at Murray State University in Kentucky were she graduated with an Exercise Science Degree. After graduating in 2006 she became a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and moved to Nashville to start her career. In 2009 she moved to South Carolina and has been at Bodyshop Athletics since March of 2011. Leslie is happily married to her husband, Brett, and have 3 beautiful children together. She loves helping people attain and maintain their good health.

Nate Bowen

Nate starting working for the Bodyshop in October of 2017 before leaving Cleveland, Georgia. Before moving to Lexington, he worked at Truett McConnell University where he was the Health and Wellness Coordinator and the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the athletic department. Nate also served at Toccoa Falls College as the head baseball coach and Assistant Athletic Director from 2014-2016. Nate is the spiritual life coordinator for the baseball program at Bodyshop and serves as the Pitching coach for P27 Academy. He and his wife, Ally, have two beautiful children, Avery Grace (4) and Maddox (2). He says that the best part of being a health coach is being a part of client’s lives and watching them transform their bodies and becoming healthier individuals.

Ryan Maksim

Ryan Maksim has been a coach for Bodyshop Baseball since June of 2016 and has earned the title of Head Infield Coach. Ryan came to Bodyshop after graduating from Charleston Southern University where he served as the starting second baseman for the Buccaneers while completing his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in Marketing. He has slowly taken on more training as he is continues to study and learn about health fitness. He specializes in training athletes and our youth. Ryan also currently serves as the Event Coordinator and Director of Operations for Cross Training Sports and P27 Academy. In his spare time, he likes to play golf and go fishing. Ryan is also engaged to Caroline Macpherson, and they are getting married this October.

Sara Sadler

Sara is originally from central Florida, but went to college and met her husband in Memphis, TN.  They have been raising our three awesome kids in South Carolina since 2009, and are members of Radius Church in downtown Lexington.  She says that, “Gyms always felt intimidating and overwhelming before I found Bodyshop.  I started exercising consistently for the first time after the birth of our third child.  I remember how much I looked forward to those 60 minutes - I could focus on doing something healthy for myself, take a mental break from all my mommy duties, and form friendships with other women without distractions - I was hooked!  Becoming a trainer has been such a rewarding experience.  We push and encourage each other, have a safe place to be vulnerable, and speak truth to one another daily.  Bodyshop is so much more than just a gym!”

Taryn Coleman

Taryn has been a trainer at the Bodyshop for over two years. She is the wife to Matt, and the mom to Emery, and loves helping others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin through health and fitness. Taryn and her family live in Lexington and she loves being outdoors and spending time with her family. She is a NASM personal trainer, nutritionist and behavior specialist. She says, “I am passionate about helping you live a happy and healthy life.”

Zack Warner

Zack grew up in Lexington where he played at Brooklyn Cayce High School. He was blessed to win a class AAA high school championship his freshman year. He then went on to play college baseball at Toccoa Falls College where he won two National Championships and back to back All American honors. God then pulled Zack closer to home to Francis Marion University where he finished out his baseball career. Zack is the brother of Bodyshop’s owner, and has been working along him since graduating from FMU. Zack is also the youth director for our youth baseball program and serves as our head hitting coach.
